Ayurveda is a complete medical system from India. Its chief aim is to guide people to find balance. By understanding the body through the five elements, one can find healing through tools like yoga, breath work, lifestyle practices, nutrition, diet, and herbs.
We will start with a 90-minute intake evaluation of your health history. Using that, we will collaborate on your tailored health plan to restore balance in your body and life. I offer a free 15-minute consult to ensure I can support you

Reiki is a form of energy healing (originating from Japan), where practitioners use their hands to transfer universal energy and facilitate physical, emotional, and energetic healing.
Your session can be in person or long distance (virtual or by phone). Sessions are either 15, 30, or 60 minutes long. Consider this as an add-on to any other treatment or a stand alone session.

Why Joy?
Hi my name is Emily Schmookler and welcome to Joyful Me Healing. This project was created on the heels of the 2020 global covid pandemic, which for me was super challenging while navigating an early stage cancer diagnosis and transitioning out of a decade long job. I found that centering joy and utilizing the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda helped me achieve my aim towards a fuller and more present life.
Through facing the hurdles of my own inner dialogue around my body and wanting to truly understand how to heal and manage my own life, Ayurveda and yoga have provided me the tools to health. Healing my internal battles around body image, weight, self-worth, and love to recovering and healing from IBS, GERD, irregular menstrual cycles, and endometrial cancer.
The allopathic approach to medicine can feel like a quick-fix to your wellness. Ayurveda follows an approach to understand the different causes of an individual’s “dis”ease and works uniquely for each individualto heal those pathways. Learn to appreciate the journey to wellness. Grasp a greater understanding of self and surrender to the process. Ayurveda doesn’t patch healing over night, but rather it guides you in a way that magnifies those places in your life where you can make changes for the better, shift your lifestyle, learn to truly enjoy food, and nourish your body.
